In 2015, at the same time as Vermont lost their PE, SB277 stripped CA parents of their right to exempt their child from one, some, or all vaccinations, based on their personal or religious beliefs, in order for their child to attend public or private school. Senator Pan, a pediatrician, worked this bill and pretty much said anything – to pass this law.

In 2016, Senator Pan was visited by three of his constituents, together with the filmmakers of Vaxxed. He literally ran away from them.
This year (2019) Senator Pan worked to strip CA parents of their right to a medical exemption for vaccinations for their child.
