Lecture: Important Facets of Infant Immunity – Sat., October 18

Join us on Saturday, October 18th from 1-5 pm, in the Great Room at Burlington’s Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center on Lake Champlain, to explore the facts and take fresh look at the science on how we can we keep our infants and children safe and healthy.

Chronic disease is skyrocketing in children & adults. We are witnessing an epidemic of allergies, asthma, eczema, autism, ADHD and other chronic autoimmune and neurological disorders. Parents want to know:

  • How do vaccinations affect the infant immune system?
  • What are the long-term health implications and unexpected consequences of universal vaccination?

Suzanne Humphries, M.D.

– Recent scientific publications on the development of fetal and infant immune systems will be reviewed, including:

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS:
suzanne-headshot-2-217x300Suzanne Humphries, M.D. earned her BA in physics from Rutgers University and after running a research biochemistry lab, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1993. Dr. Humphries is board certified in Nephrology. She has 3 years experience as an associate professor (teaching students, residents and fellows) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and 11 years experience in conventional practice in Nephrology and Internal Medicine at Easter Maine Medical Center, also teaching medical students and medical residents. After witnessing unexpected health effects of vaccination on her kidney patients, she began to ask questions and research the history and science of vaccine effectiveness and safety. She left conventional medicine to research the many problems with mainstream medical theory and co-authored (with Roman Bystrianyk) the book, Dissolving Illusions: Diseases, Vaccines and the Forgotten History, which paints a historic portrait with quotes from the pages of long overlooked medical journals, books, newspapers, and other sources to reveal a startling history that has been disregarded. Read more about her transition from hospitalist to independent practitioner here.
gingerGinger Taylor, M.S. holds a BS in Psychology with a concentration in child development and an MS in Clinical Counseling from Johns Hopkins University with a concentration if adolescent and family therapy. She is media director for HealthChoice.org and co-author and contributing editor of, Vaccine Epidemic: How Corporate Greed, Biased Science, and Coercive Government Threaten Our Human Rights, Our Health, and Our Children, which makes the argument that informed consent in vaccination is a fundamental human right. Ms. Taylor served on the steering committee for the 2009 Maine Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Autism Conference to educate medical professionals on the current state of the research and treatment of Autism. She is the founder of Greater Brunswick Special Families, and the mother of a child who regressed into autism following the simultaneous administration of the DTaP, Hepatitis B, Polio, HIB and Pneumo vaccines.VERMONT DOCTORS:Lynn Madsen, M.D. earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in 2003 and she practices family medicine in Townshend, VT. Bradley Rauch, D.C. earned his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1980 from the New York  Chiropractic College and has been a practicing chiropractor for 32 years. He was a founding member of the New York Chiropractic Council, taught technique at New York Chiropractic and is currently a partner in 3 offices in the Dominican Republic after selling his practice in 2009. Dr. Rauch lives in Stowe, Vermont with his wife Michelle and 4 children.

Sandy Reider, M.D. has been a physician in Vermont for 43 years. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Harvard Medical School in 1971 and has a general practice in Lyndonville, Vermont.

Bill Warnock, N.D. received his Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr College of Medicine and his BS in Botany from the University of Washington. Dr. Warnock is a family practitioner in Shelburne, Vermont with expertise in treating childhood illnesses, obesity, and chronic debilitating diseases such as cancer, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, arthritis, and chronic fatigue, as well as preventive health. When he set up his practice in 1985, he was the first Naturopathic Doctor in Vermont. He served as president of the Vermont Association of Naturopathic Physicians for many years, and now serves on the Executive Committee for Vermont Blueprint for Health.
