If you have always wondered about the vaccine debate but did not bother much because, “the vaccine-autism debate was debunked” it is not too late to start reading. The problem is, with all that is out there, where should you begin?
You may have heard a pediatrician’s perspective, which is shaped by training and then by continuing education programs; and maybe you have even read something in the newspaper or heard a story on the radio.
No matter what your level of knowledge or comfort, there is no better time than the present to join in and read as much as you can to understand ALL sides of this debate, because your own health or the health of your child(ren) depends upon your informed decision making. Unfortunately, one side has all the money (for development, promotion, media/PR; plus taxpayer support from government agencies). Which means that getting all of the facts is not easy. For example, did you know that Pharmaceutical companies have been granted total liability protection from any damage their VACCINE product may cause to your child?
It may seem confusing and unbelievable at first – but you have to start somewhere to try to find the truth.
For example, a recent blog post by Marcella Piper-Terry (which inspired me to write today), opens with:
Vaccines Do Not Cause Autism.
Marcella writes:
“Gastrointestinal damage is the most obvious result of vaccine damage. When a previously healthy child suddenly starts having multiple episodes of watery and extremely stinky diarrhea every day, and this happens shortly after receiving vaccinations, it is notable as a “vaccine injury.” What is not so obvious is that when the child’s gut is permanently damaged, he or she is no longer able to absorb nutrients necessary to produce neurotransmitters necessary for proper brain function. So when the child develops mood swings, sleep difficulties, and learning disabilities several months later, these issues are not recognized as being related to the vaccine injury because the initial damage occurred many months earlier. Please re-read…This is why Dr. Andrew Wakefield is such a threat to the pharmaceutical industry.”
Marcella also gives us some Late Summer science reading on vaccines before we “catch our kids up.” Good thing we have a few days left before making informed choices. I am sharing with you and then getting ready to buckle down and catch up with my own summer reading…!
